SZA – SOS Album Zip Download & Lyrics
SOS, the sophomore album from American singer-songwriter SZA, was released on December 9, 2022, under Top Dawg Entertainment and RCA Records. The album features notable guest appearances from artists such as Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. SZA collaborated with a diverse range of producers and songwriters, including Babyface, Jeff Bhasker, Benny Blanco, Rodney Jerkins, DJ Dahi, Gabriel Hardeman, Ant Clemons, and Lizzo. SOS serves as the follow-up to SZA’s highly acclaimed debut album, Ctrl, released in 2017.
Prior to the album’s release, three singles were unveiled: “Good Days,” “I Hate U,” and “Shirt.” These were followed by additional singles like “Nobody Gets Me,” “Kill Bill,” and “Snooze.” “Kill Bill” marked a significant achievement for SZA, as it became her first song to top the Billboard Hot 100, while all other singles reached the top 20. Upon its release, SOS garnered widespread critical praise for its eclectic sound and SZA’s remarkable vocal delivery. Numerous media outlets included the album in their lists of the best albums of 2022. SZA embarked on the SOS Tour from February to October 2023, performing in North America and Europe to promote the album.
SOS debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming SZA’s first album to achieve this feat. It also set a new record for the highest streaming week for an R&B album in the United States. The album remained at the top of the chart for ten non-consecutive weeks, making it the longest-running number-one female album of the decade and the first R&B album since Whitney Houston’s Whitney in 1987 to spend its initial seven weeks at number one. In recognition of its success, SOS won the Album of the Year award at the 2023 BET Awards.
SZA’s debut album, Ctrl, released in 2017, was praised by critics for its R&B sound, powerful vocal performances, and introspective songwriting on topics like heartbreak. The album propelled SZA into the mainstream and solidified her position as a significant figure in contemporary pop and R&B music. Ctrl was commended for pushing the boundaries of the R&B genre and resonating with audiences through its relatable and emotionally impactful lyrics.
