American artist, singer, writer, performer, expressed, Lauren Jauregui, has announced her debut solo album “Prelude.”
The former member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, also announced her new single “Scattered.”
The new single which will be the second single off her forthcoming debut album “Prelude”, is set to be released on Friday, October 15, 2021.
Since her music debut at just 16 years old as a member of Fifth Harmony, Lauren has gone on to earn multiple awards and nominations both with and outside of the group.
She has collaborated with some of the world’s biggest artists and producers and has amassed millions of global streams in her own right as she has weaved through the search for her own voice.
Since the end of the group in 2018 and having spent most of since time in the studio writing, recording and revisiting music, the artist is ready to enter this new/true phase of her career with music written and produced from her heart with the help of some wonderful producers and writers she considers friends.
On the horizon, the first part of the project is nearing completion and an album is piecing itself together. Last year, Lauren released ‘Lento’ featuring Tainy and ‘50ft.’ along with their respective artful videos at the dawn of a pandemic and both have since garnered millions of views and streams across platforms. These are the third and fourth of the four songs she has officially released as a solo artist following her first, Expectations, written by her and produced by Kid Harpoon, and her second, More Than That, produced by Murda Beatz.
Outside of the studio, Jauregui has spent much of her career engaging with her fans on a variety of social and global issues. As an insightful, curious, independent thinker and healer; Jauregui continues to use her platform to advocate for human rights and share her own journey of finding her truth through her art, “which is a self-exploration through this human experience”.
