American rapper and singer Doja Cat appears to be a fan of popular television series, The Powerpuff Girls.

Born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, the 26-year-old dressed up as Ms. Sara Bellum from the series for Halloween.

Voiced by Jennifer Martin, the character is the Mayor’s secretary, who often handles issues that the Mayor cannot.

Ms. Bellum has long, curly red hair, wears a red business suit and red high heel shoes for a secretary look. Her face is never fully shown onscreen in the series, although The Powerpuff Girls Rule!!! revealed part of it.

Miss Bellum appears in one episode of 2016 series in a cameo appearance, and will be portrayed by Robyn Lively in the Powerpuff live-action reboot.

Born and raised in L.A., and asserting a feline-esque dominance and a style that can only be described as every color in a box of crayons, Doja Cat’s unapologetic charisma, charm, and confidence immediately take center stage.

In August 2018, Amala released what would become her viral hit “Mooo!” which enjoyed over 10 million views on YouTube and Twitter in just a couple of days and was met with critical acclaim.

Signed to Kemosabe/RCA during 2014, Amala unveiled her acclaimed Purrr! EP. She cited the Hindu culture of her childhood as well as Japanese culture as inspiration for Purrr! and other aspects of her early career.

Doja Cat made her first upload to Soundcloud in 2013 at just 16-years-old. The rapper cites Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Beyoncé, D’Angelo, Missy Elliott, Janet Jackson, and Prince, among her biggest musical influences.

Doja Cat also draws inspiration from her background engaging in online activities and delving into sub-cultures as a suburban teenager.
