Canada-via-Wales singer and songwriter ELIO has released her new single titled, “Vitamins.”
Through the combination of her varied style and highly personal lyrics, ELIO is quickly being known as one of the most relatable musicians working in today’s music industry.
The Wales native, who immigrated to Canada as a child, discovered a passion for writing and music-making as a creative outlet for her exuberant adolescent emotions and personal life, and she has continued to do so. Following the death of a family member and feeling out of place in her new house, the singer retreated to her bedroom and created a world of melodies and words to escape her circumstances.
Elio’s music is primarily concerned with the universal emotions of loneliness, heartbreak, and vulnerability, with a particular emphasis on the unique experiences of the Youth-Z generation, such as online friendships and coming of age in today’s society.
With a blend of synthy-pop and meaningful lyrics in her work, the musician has established a devoted audience that is only expected to grow in the coming years.
Her debut EP, ‘u and me, but mostly me,’ was welcomed with widespread acclaim and positive reviews in the press. The dynamic artist’s current track, “hurts 2 hate anyone,” is taken from her upcoming sophomore EP, ‘Can You Hear Me Now,’ which will be published in the coming weeks.
