Goodday to all HipHopGetters! Welcome one more Sunday to our selection of the most outstanding releases of the week. Ready? Let’s go with it!
Above & Beyond and Justine Suissa – Almost Home (A&B Deep Mix) [Anjunabeats]
Above & Beyond share their deep mix of “Almost Home“. Released through her own label, this single in its original version has been one of her jewels released this year with Justine Suissa. With a strong musical line that takes us into the purest deep house, this remix does not lose the essence of the original. The mystical touch of the beginning together with the deep voice of Suissa, make the perfect combination to enjoy a great work. This is how it sounds!
Leotrix – Alone [Pilot.]
Leotrix returns to our Selection for another week with its new release “Alone”. With melancholic vocals, he delves into a future riddim drop in which strident sounds are the protagonists, preceded by broken sounds in the bridge. A beautiful subject worth praising!
Dua Lipa – Love Again (GARABATTO Remix)
National talent is celebrating. This week we could not overlook what has probably been one of GARABATTO’s most important works to date. The Valencian has put his hands on Dua Lipa’s “Love Again” and has taken it to the very personal slap house and with a very successful break to the rhythm of classical instruments. One of the obligatory listeners of this week!
Himera & Petal Supply – You Make It Look So Easy (Lucky) [Unseelie]
The PC Music sound remains more alive and renewed than ever thanks to songs like this collaboration between producer Himera and producer and singer Petal Supply, who have re imagined this original song from a few weeks ago to extend it, in this version “Lucky”, to a melodically luminous and progressive terrain until reaching a final point that seeks harder club sounds.
Doctor P – Won’t Let Go (longstoryshort Remix) [Circus Records]
Originality is one of the most rewarded characteristics when it comes to being part of each Selection. This magnificent remix of “Won’t Let Go” shows us a version that, without abandoning bass music, allows us to immerse ourselves in an atmosphere of diffuse vocals, punchy sounds and above all, a lot of sidechain. It is clear that we will closely follow the trajectory of this artist, because…. What a talent!
Mike Enemy ft. Harrisen Larner-Main – We Are The Aliens [Scantraxx Prospexx]
“We Are The Aliens” is proof that the Loud Cave Selection is a magical section. Mike Enemy is an artist that every hard music lover should know. To this day he is not very well known because he has spent a long time producing happy hardcore (with appearances on OneSeventy and Electric Fox ), a not very commercial genre. Nevertheless; Mike has teamed up with the beautiful voice of Harrisen to gift us a sublime piece of raw. With a first drop in the style of Sub Zero Projectand a last melodic part, this song is undoubtedly one of the best releases of the whole week. Mike Enemy is going to blow it!
The Saints – Next Level [Roughstate]
It’s totally normal for Ran-D and Adaro to trust this duo to release music for Roughstate. The female voice and setting on this piece are amazing, but the electronics part is even better. The XTRA RAW of the first drop stands out for the original game of kicks and screeches, but the second part of rawphoric is absolutely brilliant. The combination of the epic melody and the powerful raw bass drums has left us frozen. All yours!
Steam Down, Afronaut Zu, TINYMAN, Ahnansé – Empower (Rudimental Remix)
Rudimental never fails. Lovers of good vocals in energetic and versatile drum n bass tracks are in luck, as this track has everything you want. We approach – as is usual – commercial sounds, although without going too far over the line. An idyllic combination between what is expected of these guys and what, finally and by surprise, they end up offering you. Judge for yourself!
Camo & Krooked ft. Pray – Other Side (Red Bull Symphonic) [Hospital]
It seems almost an unwritten law that when the Austrian duo release music it is in our weekly selection; and it is not for less. With the participation of Rezar and the Red Bull Symphonic orchestra, with which they recreated several of their songs in that wonderful concert, Camo & Krooked releases “Other Side”. Some emotional vocals lead us to the energetic and melodic drops of the song, marked by the violins and the always pristine drum n ‘bass of the duo. One more masterclass.
Blanke – Blackout [Insomniac Records]
Blanke’s talent doesn’t just stop at midtempo and drum and bass. This week, and as part of the compilation for EDC Las Vegas 2021, the American surprises us with an energetic and powerful breakbeat. “Blackout” stands out for its futuristic sound and the absence of a vowel, which is not missing thanks to the arpeggio that pushes us towards a drop, which perfectly combines the structure of broken rhythms with a sound design similar to that of electro.. It is very pleasant when a producer steps out of his comfort zone to delight us with something totally unexpected.
Until next week HipHopGetters!
