American rapper Polo G has released his new song titled Bad Man (Smooth Criminal).
On “Bad Man (Smooth Criminal),” the Chicago rapper Polo G remixes pop star Michael Jackson’s 1988 track of the same name, dropping references to the original song and interpolating its chorus.
After being speculated to appear on Polo’s third studio album, Hall of Fame, in the months leading up, Polo’s acquaintance and producer DJ Ayo appeared to confirm its placement on the project nine days before its release.
The track was confirmed on an Instagram post by Polo G himself where he dressed up like Michael Jackson and recited the song lyrics in the bio: “Smooth criminal, Mike Jack.”
On November 8, 2021, Polo G announced the deluxe edition of Hall of Fame and that “Bad Man (Smooth Criminal)” would be released on November 12, 2021.
