South Korean boy band Treasure have released their new track, “BFF (Best Friend Forever)”, off their first mini album, “The Second Step: Chapter One.”
“The Second Step: Chapter One” is the first extended play (EP) by the band. The EP was released by YG Entertainment on February 15, 2022.
YG Entertainment signaled a prelude of “The Second Step” on New Year’s Day. On January 11, 2022, YG Entertainment released the teaser video announcing comeback date to be February 15.
On January 20, 2022, it was reported that the EP had reached 600,000 pre-order sales. Their first Japanese mini album, entitled with the same name, will be released on March 23, 2022.
In October 2021, Treasure held their first “private stage”, a fan meeting brand created by their agency, titled Teu-day. The event was held at the Olympic Hall located within Olympic Park. Due to COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions, venue tickets were limited with gaps maintained between seats.
Cheering at the venue was prohibited and was replaced with the sound of body percussions which included stomping and clapping. Teu-day was also simultaneously shared online to those who purchased a ticket and was streamed across 100 different countries.
