Soulja Boy Releases Tenth Studio Album “Big Draco 3”
Soulja Boy, an American rapper and record producer, has released “Big Draco 3,” his ninth studio album.
His debut single “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 2007. Starting in September 2007, the track was self-published on the internet and went on to become a number-one hit in the United States for seven non-consecutive weeks.
Soulja Boy was ranked number 18 on Forbes’ list of Hip-Hop Cash Kings of 2010 on August 17, after earning $7 million in 2010.
Allmusic gave Souljaboytellem.com a positive rating, however other publications, including Entertainment Weekly, gave it mostly poor reviews. Several critics hailed Soulja Boy for starting a new hip-hop movement while predicting that he would be a one-hit-wonder.
iSouljaBoyTellem, the follow-up to Souljaboytellem.com, was released on December 16, 2008, to mixed reviews. “Bird Walk,” the album’s first single, reached number 40 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number 20 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart.
The way continues to release singles and two mixtapes in 2019, the first of which, Fuego, was released on January 10 and the second, Tell Ya, on March 25. On January 18, 2019, Way stated that he was working on his fifth studio album, How Can You Blame Me? (formerly named Blessed), which will be released on July 28. Following Way’s detention in 2019, the album was postponed for unexplained reasons.
Following his rise to fame as a Twitch streamer, Soulja Boy released the mixtape King Soulja 9 on July 28, 2020, followed by many singles throughout the year. Way released the mixtape Swag 3 in late November 2020 and continues to release tracks such as Pandemic and CEO in early 2021.
Way released the mixtape Soulja World on February 1, 2021, which features longtime collaborator Lil B. Soulja Boy inked a record deal with Virgin Music in April 2021.
