Goblin Slayer is a fantasy dark anime series, based on a successful light novel of the same name which was published in 2016. The anime light novel series after the release was written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kanatsuki. The series tells the story of an adventurer who only concerns himself with hunting goblins with extreme prejudice.
The Goblin slayer anime series premiered in Japan in Oct 2018 with its first-12 episode which leaves many cliffhangers and makes the viewers still wait for the renewal of the second season to continue the storyline.
The series was directed by Takaharu Ozaki and animated by studio white fox, although it’s still not confirmed yet whether the director or the animated studio will come back for the 2nd season.
Will the anime series renew for its Goblin Slayer Season 2?
Unfortunately, there is no such information ahead regarding the 2nd season of the show yet, but the most likely release date is April 2022. There is no such confirmation from the makers themselves.
In Japan, currently, 15 light novels have been released already of The Goblin Slayer and in 2021 the light novel is still ongoing as per the updates. As, the anime adaptation has covered volume 1 or 2 of the novel, which means volume 3 continues where the anime ends.
So, the season will be expected to continue the story of Volume 3,4, and 6. So, the whole thing means there are still 2 volumes to come for the continuation of the story which was likely to be animated by the white fox.
