Audiences can’t wait to see what happens next after the action-packed second season featured plenty of cliffhangers and a mind-blowing finale twist.
And now that the updating has been announced, a new question has arisen in the minds of many viewers: when will Outer Banks Season 3 begin filming? Here’s what we know about the production schedule so far.

Is 3rd Season of ‘Outer Banks’ currently in production.
A shooting schedule for Outer Banks Season 3 has yet to be confirmed by Netflix. Following the revival, however, rumors circulated that the film crew would start this year.
Contrary to Anything on Netflix, the December 23 issue of Production Weekly stated that Netflix has set Outer Banks Third season shooting scenes for February.
The rumored production window is from February 16 to August 19, 2022. According to the article, the timeline is vulnerable to modification, particularly in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
Outer Bank’s third season does not yet have a release date as of this writing.
If production continues until August, fans may not be able to watch the new episodes until the fall.
What to Expect in the Outer Banks Season 3?
John B. (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Madelyn Cline), Kiara (Madison Bailey), and new Pogue Cleo (Carlacia Grant) spent the evening on the island and dubbed it Poguelandia at the end of Season 2.
Sarah’s father, Ward Cameron (Charles Esten), escaped with just the Cross of Santo Domingo, but the Pogues pledged to find it. John B.’s father, Big John (Charles Halford), was also shown to be living.
Josh Pate, co-showrunner, said that John B.’s reunion with Big John will play a significant part in season 3.
The new shows will also be more mythological in nature.
