The Witcher Season 2 Updates: In anticipation of the second season of Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher, the show’s Twitter account shared a clip from the new season, which shows Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra) and her former magic instructor Tissaia de Vries (MyAnna Buring) having a conversation in the aftermath of the Battle of Sodden.
Tissaia compliments Yennefer for what she accomplished during the tough battle in the video. Tissaia appears to have earned a newfound respect for her former pupil, who had been a very volatile sorceress up until that time.
Despite the fact that it is not what she desires, Tissaia insists that they should give Vilgefortz (Mahesh Jadu) credit for their win. This appears to indicate to the younger sorceress that Tissaia does not want her to draw attention to herself for the time being. Yennefer does not appear to be pleased with the outcome, but she does not protest further. The two have a rare heartfelt hug at the end of the video.
The Witcher Season 2: Battle of Sodden Vale
The Battle of Sodden may have given a hint as to what Yennefer’s hidden secret in the Netflix clip is. On Reddit, a fan recalls the series’ explanation of the forbidden magic. “They’re utilising banned magic, demonology, necromancy, and fire magic,” the fan says.
It’s unclear when the film takes place, but given that it appears to be the first talk between the two magic practitioners since the conflict in Season 1’s “Much More,” it’s likely that this clip correlates to the opening episode of the current season.
We already know that Season 2 will follow a lot more linear timeline than Season 1, therefore it’s reasonable to assume that this dialogue will occur in the first or first few episodes. Season 2 of The Witcher features Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Joey Batey, Kim Bodnia, and others in addition to Chalotra, Buring, and Jadu.
